At Touchwood flooring our floor sanding consists of a three stage process -

Fix down loose boards, cut out and do any necessary repairs. Sand down floorboards to bear wood using our top of the range belt sander, this clears the floor of old seals and a lot of the scratches that may have appeared over time. Fill and gaps as necessary.
Using a hand held edger we will then sand the perimeter of the room working up to the skirting boards and door thresholds.
When both of the processes above have been completed and you are happy with the results the floor is hoovered so it is left dust free ready to accept your desired lacquer or Oil finish.
